Terms & Conditions
Website Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 2026
These terms apply to the use of www.tourssafehavencounselling.com. By using the website, you agree to use it lawfully and in accordance with these terms.
1. About this website
The website is operated by Tours’ Safe Haven Counselling Service, a private counselling practice based in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, providing face-to-face and online counselling services.
2. Information on the website
The information on this website is intended to explain the counselling services available and provide general information about emotional wellbeing, trauma, relationships and recovery.
Website content is not a substitute for individual medical, psychiatric, legal or emergency advice. No diagnosis, treatment recommendation or guarantee of outcome is made through the website.
3. No therapeutic relationship is created by browsing
Viewing the website, sending a contact form or making an initial enquiry does not by itself create a therapeutic relationship. Counselling begins only when a service has been agreed and the relevant counselling arrangements or contract have been put in place.
4. Booking and fees
Current session types, duration and prices are shown on the booking pages or confirmed directly before an appointment is agreed. Where online booking is available, you are responsible for checking that the selected service, date, time and contact details are correct.
Payment, cancellation, missed-session and rearrangement terms that apply to counselling will be explained in the counselling agreement or booking information. Those counselling terms take priority over these general website terms where they relate to the therapeutic service.
5. Children and young people
Counselling for children and young people is subject to appropriate contracting, confidentiality and safeguarding arrangements. Depending on age and circumstances, a parent or carer may be involved in arranging or paying for counselling, while the young person may still have their own rights to privacy and confidentiality.
6. Confidentiality and safeguarding
Information shared through the website or during counselling is handled in line with the Privacy Notice and professional confidentiality requirements. Confidentiality is not absolute. Information may need to be shared where there is a serious safeguarding concern, a legal requirement or another lawful and ethical reason.
Please avoid sending more sensitive personal information through the general contact form than is necessary for an initial enquiry.
7. Emergencies and crisis support
Tours’ Safe Haven Counselling Service is not an emergency or crisis service. The website, contact form and email account are not monitored continuously.
If you or another person is in immediate danger, call 999. If urgent medical or mental health support is needed, contact the appropriate NHS, crisis or emergency service.
8. Availability of the website
Reasonable efforts are made to keep the website available and accurate, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed. The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems or circumstances outside the practice’s control.
9. External links
The website may contain links to external organisations, services or resources. These links are provided for convenience and do not mean that Tours’ Safe Haven controls or guarantees the content, availability, privacy practices or services of those third parties.
10. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the written content, branding and original materials on this website belong to Tours’ Safe Haven Counselling Service or are used with permission. They must not be copied, republished or used commercially without permission, except where the law allows.
11. Responsible use
You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, interfere with its operation or use website forms to send abusive, unlawful or harmful content.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to that, Tours’ Safe Haven is not responsible for losses arising solely from reliance on general website information, temporary website unavailability or the content of external websites.
13. Privacy and cookies
Personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Notice. Cookies and similar technologies are explained in the Cookie Policy and managed through the website’s cookie preference tools.
14. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when the website, services or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on the website.
15. Governing law
These website terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute relating to the website will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
