About Me
A Compassionate Space for Your Journey
Hello, I’m Tours. As a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I offer a warm, safe, and non-judgemental environment where you can feel truly heard and understood.
My goal is to support you as you navigate your unique healing journey, helping you make sense of your experiences at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you are facing a specific crisis or a general sense of being "stuck," we will work together to find a way forward.
Specialised Trauma & Life Challenges
While I have a particular depth of experience in supporting survivors of domestic abuse and trauma, my practice is open to anyone navigating the complexities of mental health. My "trauma-informed" approach means I prioritise your safety, choice, and empowerment above all else.
I work with individuals facing a wide range of issues, including:
-
Mood & Anxiety: Supporting people struggling with anxiety, depression, panic, or ongoing stress.
-
Neurodiversity & Obsessions: Supporting those living with OCD.
-
Relational Issues: Difficulty with boundaries, family conflict, or the lasting impact of childhood trauma and sexual abuse.
-
Life Transitions: Coping with grief, loss, workplace stress, or low self-esteem.
Whatever you are carrying, I am here to help you confront these challenges with compassion and patience.
Support for Children & Young People
I believe that therapy for younger clients should be as engaging as it is supportive. Children and teenagers often find it difficult to put complex feelings into words, so I incorporate creative therapeutic tools to bridge that gap, including:
-
Sand play for exploring internal worlds.
-
Drawing and art for creative expression.
-
Therapeutic games to build trust and emotional literacy.
My Professional Background
In addition to my private practice, I serve as the Director of a domestic abuse and trauma recovery service. In this role, I facilitate therapeutic groups and work to raise awareness about the complexities of abuse and its recovery.
This leadership position keeps me deeply connected to local safety initiatives and ensures my clinical practice is always grounded in the latest professional standards and safeguarding protocols.
Taking the First Step
I recognise that reaching out can often be the most daunting part of the process. I strive to build a collaborative relationship where you feel valued and empowered from our very first session.
If you are looking for a skilled counsellor who truly understands the impact of trauma and the nuances of the human experience, I welcome you to reach out for an initial consultation.
