About Me

I am Tours, a compassionate and highly experienced person-centred counsellor with a deep specialisation in supporting individuals impacted by domestic abuse and unhealthy relationships. My passion for this crucial area ignited during my initial counselling studies at Weston College (Counselling Skills Levels 2 & 3). It fueled my continued education at University Centre Weston (UCW), where I earned a Foundation Degree and a BSc (Hons) in Counselling.

While my experience encompasses a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, OCD, and trauma (including childhood trauma and sexual abuse), my primary focus and extensive expertise lie in understanding the complexities of domestic abuse and guiding individuals towards safety, healing, and healthier relationship patterns. I offer tailored support to adults navigating these difficult experiences. Recognising the unique needs of younger individuals affected by unhealthy dynamics, I also utilise creative methods like games, drawing, and sand play to create a secure therapeutic environment.

My dedication to addressing domestic abuse is evident in my role as the Programme Manager for a dedicated domestic abuse counselling charity. Furthermore, I actively work to raise public awareness and provide education on domestic abuse and unhealthy relationship dynamics through two social media platforms. I also facilitate a specialised therapeutic group for women seeking to understand and heal from these experiences.

I believe in fostering a deeply collaborative and empathetic therapeutic relationship where you feel truly heard, valued, and empowered to navigate the challenges of domestic abuse and build healthier connections. If you are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and highly specialised counsellor with a profound commitment to supporting you in overcoming domestic abuse and creating positive relationship changes, I warmly invite you to contact me for a consultation.
